Re: Best Bang For The Buck 12" Shallow Sub

I think I've made up my mind. Ill probably go with 2 Kicker 12" CVT's. I'll probably need a 750 watt amp?

My jl does pound...
But it is not as loud loud as the kickers..
Its a crisp clear sound..
Good luck with the kickers, I've heard them and they are a good sub

For output you are not really going to find anything that will compete with those Kickers those, for shallows they are really impressive.

Re: Best Bang For The Buck 12" Shallow Sub

I spent a long time searchin for the right shallow for me.. Mind you this was for my ears.. I wanted something with a deep note that could really deliver when called apon.. The pioneer was a joke.. The JL was a clean sound.. And I ended up buying the Memphis shallow subs.. They just seemed to procduce more with less.. By that I mean the funky show room box they were in. I could only image what they would sound in a proper box.. Which is in the works now...

Re: Best Bang For The Buck 12" Shallow Sub

Well y try to cram shallow 12s n a reg cab when 2 ten dd ts will out do the shallow 12s. I'd bet money on my single dd 10 vs one or even 2 of your shallow 12s. Why don't you figure out how much space u have n get back to me. A 10 n the correct box will out do a 15 n box way to small

kenwood and rockford both make a nice shallow 12. i have 2 jl 10s behind my seat and it is clearer and just sounds better than my buddys kicker.
