Speaker Cone Peeling

So I just bought a brand new 4inch back speaker and the cone is starting to peel back, if that makes any sense. It seems like there isn't any glue on one half of the speaker. Is there any way for me to fix this or will I have to send it back?

Re: Speaker Cone Peeling

you mean where the surround meets the cone? If it's brand new, by all means, send it back.

Re: Speaker Cone Peeling

They are scosche brand, i'm not all that surprised. If you want nice speakers, don't buy ones that they sell at walmart.

Re: Speaker Cone Peeling

Wow, maybe educate yourself a bit, theres no way walmart would ever sell these speakers. Definitely not crappy scosche brand either. These are high quality speakers made in Germany. I had to specially order them. Rainbow Audio is all their own.

Re: Speaker Cone Peeling

Rainbow is an independent company for audiophiles in Germany susiposed to have been started by an former employee of Harman Kardon, they are not affiliated with scosche, Rainbow makes a fine speaker usually known for their home and PA speakers. Send them back you just received a bad set.
