side view mirrors
should i put side mirrors on my 78 cant decide i have those small mirrors that were on in 78 and a few other years all done the body work getting painted saturday dont know if i wanna drill the holes or not ???

Unless you can find something that will fit real close to the body, I would leave them off.

Leave them off it looks much cleaner and I haven't had a problem with driving without them, and this truck is my daily driver....

how hard is it to drive without them ive never had a truck before and was wondering my old car was small and only had the mirror on the driver side but i never used em

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I don't have any problems driving without them. The back window is large enough that I can turn my head around a little and see if anything is in the next lane. Really I don't know how to describe it, but I don't have any problems driving every day. I usually drive it about 70 + miles a day and have had no close encounters, and driving at night is no problem either. Some of my friends have said it takes them time to get used to it, but its not bad.

do you want to sell those mirrors that you have?
'84 swb 5/7 drop, solid cammed 408 w/ fully ported dart heads, th350 w/ 10 inch hughes, 12 bolt w/ 3.73 richmonds and a locker, BFG drag radials
'80 swb 4x4 in progress: 7" lift, 350 th350/np205, d44 and 1.5" ORD tie rod, 14BFF w/discs , armored diff covers, 40" MTR's

cool. i need a set though. the small factory ones are sweet. but repos are expensive

I want to shave mine i think but its a little harder with a blazer. I want to end up with double 5% on everything but the windshield and 15% or 5% on it. So the ability to see would really be a factor.
