got my 454!
Ok so I finally got a 454 to put in my 88 K5. It will be carbed so what all do I need to do as far as wiring and sensors go? Any other little quirks that I need to know about the transplant would be helpful too. I don't want any stupid crap that only happens in my truck haha. Appreciate y'all!

Re: got my 454!
put some real heads on the tbi 454 motor. vortec 454 heads would wake it up.
Trust me injection aint as hard as it looks especially if you do like I did and run a basic marine setup Instead of f'ing with jets and power valves I open my laptop and tune it. Just my 2 cents |

Re: got my 454!
Just curious for any updates on your swap. I'm thinking about swapping my 4.3L V6 out for a carbed 454 i found. Just wondering if you got it in, how everything fit, you know, advice like that.
