new dutch member (with pics)
Hi there
Im Remco an dlive in the netherlands, You know the country ones famous for tulips windmils and woodenshoes. Now its famous for the legal drug,s legal prostitution and woodenshoes. I just imported a 1979 C30 crewcab dually from the US to tow my airstream trailer. Will have it converted to propane next week, propane is about 1/3 th of the price of gas overhere gas is a bit over 8 usd a gallon. The US seller told that all the outside trim and badges where in the truck, maby they got lost in transport but all the trim and badges are missing. i hold irish citizenship, allowing me to live and work anywhere in the EU... i have often dreamed about importing an 80's generation truck for use there, should i ever decide to live there (very likly i will try it out at least)
How does a truck that size far in dutch? can the roads handle it or are you expected to hit the ditch when some one needs to pass? Importing wise, what was cost and was it worth it for you?

Nice ride, I worke with a fellow that that had a 76 with a 454. He was always threatening to put a second BB in the bed so that he could hook onto the trailer and boat and pull the passes at 75, wouldn't that be interesting?
