Re: 700R4 to 4speed manual
got the clutch pedal bracket hung, but after I bolted the column back together, connected all the wires, I have an extra connector for somewhere under the dash that is disconnected...nothing for it to plug into and I don't want to tear it all apart again, what a PITA!!

in, got the drive shafts pulled on my truck, the tranny and tcase drained in prep for dropping them on Sunday. I promise pics very soon....

Re: 700R4 to 4speed manual
do you have a pic of the loose connector? are you sure the brake switches dont have a different number of connectors than your automatic pedals?

Re: 700R4 to 4speed manual
every connector that was on the donor truck was burned, so I just tore everything off. I will check to see tomorrow if the old brake pedals had another connector on there. i reused my brake switch, so I know that is hooked up, and I am pretty sure all of the other connectors are connected properly...I don't have a picture, but I could get one tomorrow. It is a connector tword the rear of the column almost up against the fire wall. It isn't the 2 prong that is way at the back, but another one that is a few prongs, maybe 5 or 6 on it.

i guess when the time comes to fire her back up i will check to see what doesn't work, and try to wire trace....maybe i will pull it back apart and double check.

Re: 700R4 to 4speed manual
one more thing, was 86 the first year of fuel injection, or was it 87?? mine has a non-factory engine in it so I have no idea. there seems to be a lot of wires and connectors under my dash that dont really need to be there.

Re: 700R4 to 4speed manual
I figured out where the plug goes, the old brake bracket had something attached to it...not sure if i will need it or not. I will probably hook it up just because.

i will get some more pics as the truck comes together!

Re: 700R4 to 4speed manual
I didn't get much done this weekend on my truck, I pulled the seat and carpet and found out that my tranny tunnel doesn't unbolt like the 83's did, so I cut the hole for the tranny shifter, got all of the wires tucked back up under the dash and zip tied.

the only problem i have now is my brake lights don't work, I checked the switch on the pedal and it seems good, maybe I just blew a fuse, so I will check that out when the rain stops and see what i can do about it.

I still have to order a boot for the clutch fork, which I am going to to tonight.
