Re: New to the forum
One place hand-me-downs are great is trucks. My first truck was my dads bought-new 77 c10 chevy sport. It was rusty and had 130k on it, but I still love that truck more than any other truck I've seen. My 87 I bought from one of the higher-ups at year-one, and was in excellent shape but didn't mean as much. My current truck is a 78 c20 my grandad bought new and gave to me with around 90k miles, garaged it's whole life, zero rust. 32's will fit on a 4wd no problem. I commonly see 33's on them and some people say they rub and some say they don't, potluck i guess. Here's my 87 with 32s front and 33s rear
![]() Do what you would like to do with it. Half the mods I made to my c20, grandad bought em for me (and I can afford them) and encourages me to hop it up and cstomize it. He takes a lot of joy in seeing me enjoy his truck so much, and wants to know everything I do to it, and wants to watch me do it to it too. It's a special truck to him (LOTS of memories) but he wants to see the "next stage" in it's life. As long as you keep it up and are happy with it, grandpa won't care what you do to it. (Why keep it stock unless you are planning to make money selling it later anyway?) I know you enjoy it, and that's alll that matters, so good luck with it and have fun! Kenny Kenny

Re: New to the forum
Thanks guys. I am pretty proud of it.
Exhaust is next, the stock stuff looks like swiss cheese. The truck has sat quite a bit in the last few years so I have spent the last few weeks getting everything back in order. Here are some interior shots from today. I replaced the sagging head liner with a new perforated vinyl one with an ABS backing board. The old stocker fell apart. It is a little dirty but here you go.

Dang man, thats a great looking truck. You have every right to be proud of it. You really got lucky with that hand-me-down.
It would be tough to find a cleaner stock truck. Steven ![]() 2007 GMC Sierra SLT Vmax. 4.10 gears, Bedrug, Boss MT100 20x8.5 wheels/Kumho STX tires, Extang Bed cover, Line of Fire, Denali Grill, GM Performance Intake and DiabloSport Predator. |

Re: New to the forum
oh man that truck is so pretty! mine has 80k original miles and it is pretty darn clean, so i can only imagine how clean that one really is being that it's 4 years newer and has about 40k less miles! such a pretty truck!
