my custom ac delete
ok so my plan is to just take the old ac unit and cut it up and use some chicken wire fiberglass and smooth it out with some bondo so it looks smooth and i dont have this giant growth comming off my firewall i was wondering about the piece that plugs into the top and the other box in this picture what are they and do i need to keep them?

Re: my custom ac delete
I'm assuming you're talking about the silver box on the side of the evaporator case, which is the A/C Clutch relay. You won't need it if you remove the A/C.

The plug on the plate at the top of the case is the Blower Resistor. You can junk that too.

I'd use a piece of sheet metal to fill the hole left by the A/C case. It would be a lot simpler.

look for a truck with out ac and pull the whole heater assembly and cut that part out of the fire wall. Either weld that panel in or use it for refence.
