Re: Anyone else feel addicted
I was way addicted. Still have two trucks, can't kick the habit. I just replaced the truck addiction with a motorcycle one on top of the truck one with a jetski one thrown in for good measure. I've accepted this is life and have started looking for a giant garage with a tiny house attached to it....
78 c10, shortbed/stepside: 5/5" drop, muncie M20, 11:1 388 stroker. Playtoy and first vehicle.

Re: Anyone else feel addicted
Yeah, I became an addict during my junior year of high school. My best friend and I would occasionally cruise and/or go four wheeling in his dad's hot rodded 1981 GMC Sierra Grande long wheel base 4x4. It's a damn shame that I don't have any old pictures of that truck! Everyone on this forum would drool!! I was a Ford man in those days. Not that I consider classic Fords to be bad machines but I lost all interest in them and have stayed hooked on the ol' box Chevy/GMC trucks ever since. Now I have two 1988 Jimmys (full size, of course) and wouldn't part with them...except for a fully restored 1959 Cadillac.

Re: Anyone else feel addicted
Yeah, they can be addictive... says the guy with two Fords parked outside, and no intention for getting rid of either one But I got my plans for a nice lil DD Chevy - '70s stepside, 6.5 turbodiesel, 5psd, part-time 4x4, 1-to running gear with air lockers, skinny 35s... I oughta get some 20+ mpg out of that, while cruising in style and plowing through snow banks like they ain't even there

I would have so much more time if I didn't care about my transportation like most people I know. Got my 71 C20 in high school and have had Chevy trucks since then. My second addiction is stupid Call of Duty 4.

Yeah, I traded it in January for that jacked-up '78 F150 4x4 on 35s and with the high-compression 429 in it. This I kept for right about two months, till gas prices, carburetor issues, and imminent front axle work made me trade it for the oilburner I got now. That one I'm happy with, tho it'd be even sweeter if it was a 4x4 (as I'd get the Dana 60) and ZF-5 equipped, but oh well, can't have all I want. Can't really complain tho, the only real mechanical work the dually needed was new rear wheel cylinders and new front brake lines, which are both easy and cheap fixes. Still miss the orange stepper tho, it was a fun truck and a good truck - oh well, at least tis still on the road, I saw it not too long ago on a country road with some young girls driving it, so I think it all worked out for the better.

Oh yeah, and my dually has a stack too

IMHO stakes sides look right only on flat beds and trucks with fenders bubbling out - old stepsides look great with stakes, and so do duallies... You have no stepside, nor a dually, so steer clear from the stakes, and keep the clean lines of just bed and no additions.
