rear gate window switch - 83 Suburban

The rear glass on my 83 suburban wont go down when using the keyed switch/tumbler in the back. It worked about 3 weeks ago but has stopped working. I put the key in, turn to the left and right and nothing happens. The glass will go down just fine using the toggle switch on the dash so i know the motor and the mechanics are working fine.

Would there be a fuse for the rear switch?

How do I access the wiring for the rear keyed switch? I took off the plastic cover and noticed a separate panel under it but I didn't take that off because all I could see was the glass and the roller. Do I need to dig around more under that panel? Does the glass need to be up or down before working on it?

Is the powered switch inside the keyed tumbler unit? How do you get into that?

anyone? also what do the "cut out switch" do that is back there? Where is it and how do i get to it?
