how much paint
gonna strip my truck down to bare metal soon, epoxy prime it, do bodywork and paint it soon. need to know if anyones sprayed their entire truck, and how much material did they use. fenders, hood, doors, bedsides, headgate, tailgate, cab and back of cab. im thinkin a gallon of epoxy primer and 1.5-1.75 gallons of paint.

Re: how much paint
I used a gallon of primer and ~1.5 gallons of paint when I did mine. That was enough to cover the cab, doors, fenders, hood, and bed. Everything was painted inside and out, front and back.

Re: how much paint
i would pick up slightly more primer where-as you will be sanding and then reprimeing. worry about the paint when the time comes

Re: how much paint
thats all i did was repair panel weld straighten prime . sand prime. thin coat of bondo (not actually bondo forgot the name) sanded primed sanded primed. i used 5 coats it looked pretty good deep color. cleared lots of wet sanding and lots of clear makes it look good. all you have to do is take your time. and i mean take your time if you dont take any shortcuts you can make it look goooood. it was my first full paint job and i took lots of time but you may not have that option cause i had other vehicles i could drive.
sorry dont have pics due to dog eating cord that connects camera to the comp. and im not spending $85 on a new one.
