New parts truck(pics)
86 chevy 4x4. 350 700R4 208 10 Bolts with 3.73s Picked it up for 500 bucks. Wanted To Use the box on mine but I peeled some bondo off turns out she got hit before. Panels are all pretty much rust free other than stone chips. Runs good drove it home, raced and beat a 93 F150 with a 351 in it.

Re: New parts truck(pics)
It needs quite a bit of mechanical work. See my plan is to use it as a parts truck but trade parts and keep it a running driving truck.

Re: New parts truck(pics)
well it would be about the same here, depending on mechanical condition, which he said was not good. $500 sounds about right.

Re: New parts truck(pics)
It runs and all just the motor was kinda hacked in, it was originally a V6 truck with a 350 from a van in it now. needs alot of front end work mostly, stuff like that.

Re: New parts truck(pics)
yah thats why i asked, farm trucks are usually pretty solid

my 83 i tryed to rebuild was my grandpas farm truck, saw VERY little pavement, thus not seeing any salt, so the floor boards and every thing were solid. I don't know bout mantioba, but they LOVE salt in Alberta, specially in Edmonton and area

Re: New parts truck(pics)
Not quite as bad but its definantly still a problem. my actual project has more rust than this actually, it was a winnipeg truck the box is done and ive already done the panels on the cab but it needs a rocker right now

Re: New parts truck(pics)
yah, i image the city of winnipeg uses quite a bit of salt on there roads

and that **** is not easy on vehicles... had my 04 chevy silverado up in edmonton from nevada for one year, washed it every 2nd week... still hard as hell on it

Re: New parts truck(pics)
Im about 50 miles out of winnipeg so i can go gravel all the time and avoid the salt :). One problem I can forsee is, By the time I got the lift on the snow was gone, but It snowed for one day and the SSR's were TERRIBLE. Im a firm believer in dont be a puss and dirve around in four wheel drive all winter, but damn I had to, it spit the ass end out shifting 1st to 2nd. lol scares traffic a bit
