1977 CHEVY K10 questions....i know you guys have answers...

it is a dana front end... you cant see the hump in the picture. i did a search of the forums and compared mine to to a picture of a dana ...and it matches

that is NOT a Dana front end, that's a corprate 10 bolt front. see the 2 "corners" on the botton of the pig? 44s dont have that. and it doesnt have enough lug nuts to be a 60. the rear is a corprate 12 bolt.

agreed. another sure way to ID a dana 44 is the fact that "44" will be cast into one of the webs of the housing. if not there i think it can be found on the nose.

ok thanks guys its a gm after all. But back to the leaf springs....why would it have these thicker springs? It rides really well actually....

lift springs, possibly stockers with AALs, or 3/4 or 1 ton springs.

it does seem to have a higher lift than most k-10's.....it only has 32in tires i know i can go bigger

probably does cuz i have 31" MT's on mine and with the wheels turned fully one way or the other there's not too much clearance left to go much bigger

thank you! haha i get lots of compliments about the seat cover... its actually just a huge flag safety pinned to my seat cover. Anyways my truck sits just as high as the red one with the 4inch lift. I guess its lifted....i do have air shocks in the back but they dont make much of a difference
