Save for reaming two holes where they don't quite line up it is a direct bolt in
I have a front crossmember from a 91 R3500 under my 70 C-2500 GMC
Does your '70 have disc on the front ? If it is still drum I would swap crossmembers to get the disc setup , if it is already disc , save yourself the hassle and replace the worn components , if the truck is assembled it is a PIA to swap the crossmembers .
Don't forget to swap to a disc M/C and proportioning valve if you are upgrading to disc brakes , and don't forget about the 6 lug rear you still will have .
