Pics of 2" or 3" body ONLY lift..no spring lift?

So I am looking at my 2wd 79 big 10 on the 235 75 r15's that are on it now. It seems to be quite low to the ground....I will have a picture here tomorrow I hope.

I wnat to lift it 2 or 3 inches, I am not sure which, and put on larger tires.

since it is NOT a 4x4 I do not want a silly big lift on a 2 wheeler and give people chuckles. I just want it to have the bolder stance of a 4x4 with tires that fill up the wells a little better.

so the question is...do I go with the 2 or 3 inch lift...if I want to use 265 75 r16 or 285 75 r15 tires.

I would appreciate any photos you have of just a 2 or 3 inch lift on the body with no suspension lift so I can plot out my lift and tire combination. Thanks a million to those that help out! (nothing like buying a set of rims and tires and it not looking right.

If you want to run that size tire, you don't need a body lift. Those tires are equivalent to 31-32s, and will fit on an 8" rim on your truck.

The point though is that the suspension is sagging in both the front and the rear though. I will likely bolt on add a leafs to the rear and change the front coil springs.

Right now there is about one inch of clearence (looking sideways at the truck) from the bottom of the wheel well to the top of the tire.

I am wanting it for the looks of being 4x4 height, but not lifted up 4x4 height, not a clearence need.

you can buy lift parts for the suspension. one thing with bodylifting a 73-87, the gas tanks will stick out from under the bed when you do.

Re: Pics of 2" or 3" body ONLY lift..no spring lift?

I would first go with a spindle and spring lift, but I have yet to find the spindle lift for a 2wd 79 chev. Rears are all over the place. Skyjacker, rancho etc do not have the spindle lift.

I will keep looking. If I have to go with the body lift I think I am leaning to the 3 inch body and 265 tires so far.....Still waiting on other photos though.
