How many O's in our BS title? (j/k)
So I notice everyone refers to these trucks as old and new body style. So how many O's go in front of our trucks?
06-Who knows= NNBS
99-06=NBS (begining of modern time)
88-99=OBS
73-87=OOBS
67-72=OOOBS
61-66=OOOOBS
58-60=OOOOOBS
54-57=OOOOOOBS
49-54=OOOOOOOBS or AD
That is a lot of O's or maybe some BS. Just having fun with it.

Re: How many O's in our BS title? (j/k)
We need to call them by their GMT designations, or year range for old trucks, but noone ever wants to make the change.

I've been trying to use the model year designations here lately, but no one seems to be following.

Re: How many O's in our BS title? (j/k)
There is no "change to be made"
Just start referring to them as their GMT names and there will be no confusion.
I just post the year. lol

Been saying this for awhile. Not everything has a GMT designation so it's really just easier to say the damn year.

Well then you run into the problem of "I have a 99 Chevy...." or "I have a 2007 Chevy....." Some years have 2 different models.
I try to use GMT400, GMT800, GMT900, but that wouldn't work for older trucks.
I hate the OBS, NBS, NNBS system, because some forums call a 2007 Classic a 2007 OBS vs. 2007 NBS being a GMT900, while this forum calls 99-2007 NBS.
I'd like to bitch slap the first person who typed NNBS.

Re: How many O's in our BS title? (j/k)
i have just been using the 88-98, 73-87 thing. seems to work great cause not everyone knows the GMT and everyone can picture the body style.

But that 90 model Suburban always pops up and throws a kink in that system.

Re: How many O's in our BS title? (j/k)
Years by far make the most sense. When you look up parts for your truck, what do you search for? How does almost every other automotive community classify body styles? Years. The body styles that share the same year would be simple as dirt to explain.
"I have a problem with my 1999 (88-98 body style) truck."
The only way this will ever catch on is if the site staff takes some kind of action. A reminder at the top of the page? I dunno, but every attempt at it so far has failed miserably.

Re: How many O's in our BS title? (j/k)
GMT designations never started until 88-98 so that doesnt work, Like Grant said, year makes the most sense.
