Spare Tire?

Ive seen alot of truck with the spare in front of the grill. But didnt know if it was a factory option or home made braket. Just looking for some pics of how they are attach.

I see them all the time on 70's trucks. I think it was only an option for the 73-80's.

my uncle bought a CCLB dually new in the 80s with a tire carrier on the front. ugly as sin IMO.

with the spare mounted on the front i don't think it would cool off the truck to good

isnt really that bad. cant be any worse than my 77 and 80 with a 7.5' snow blade in front of them. only time it has really effected anything is when i had to take the truck across town with the snow blade still on it (in June) and it was like 100.

My dad had a '77 Suburban with a spare tire on the front. Came in handy when my brother rear-ended someone. Decent damage to the other car, and it just scuffed some dirt off the tire.
