Glove Box Help on 81' C10

Alrighty, well after 2 years of work my truck is just about finished, except for the glove box. I have an 81 Silverado SB 2wd and I can't for the life of me get the little latch on the glove box off. Does anyone know how to take these little things apart? Thanks.

Is there some type of locking ring on it?

i thought there was a locking ring but nope, and no pin either, since theres a small hole on the chrome latch i thought that you might just have to pop a small pin in it and it would release but thats not the case either. Looks like its off to the Gm dealer, see what they can get out of it.

I had a hard time with mine to. It was a long time ago, but I believe that I got mine off but messing around with the latch part on the inside of the glove box. The inside threads off and you can seperate the assembly in two pieces (the part you thread off and the rest will slide through the hole in the glove box door).

Yep the door is a two piece. You should be able to remove it when you take the door apart.

Alrighty thanks, it is 2 pieces, I got it apart. There is a small recessed ring around the top chrome part of the latch that unscrews and the 2 pieces separate. Thanks Everyone.
