Meguires scratch and swirl remover
Has anyone ever tried this meguires scratch and swirl remover. I have a couple tree branch/brush scratches I would like to remove. Also this black truck has that spider web looking swirls too. Any other choices?
BTW this will be applied by hand and needs to be available at local auto-parts store.

I hear that it is good, but I never used it, I use 3m hand glaze, you can buy it in an auto body paint supply store, it takes the swirls out, zaino also makes a swirl remover, you use it in place of the wax, but you have to use it 3 or 4 times before the marks go away, the 3m stuff is your best bet for faster results. How do you wash your truck and dry it, and what type of wax are you using? these are all things that make the swirl marks in the paint.

I've tried both (Meguires)(Zaino) and they both work about the same.

I have the same problem Y2KZ71, neither work on that kind of scratch. Those products are more for swirles and real fine scratches

I wash my truck with car wash soap, don't remember the brand, then dry it with bath towels. You think this is what causes the swirl marks? I am currently using meguires gold class wax/polish.
Approx how much does the 3M hand glaze cost?

Try 3M Finess-it. I used that on my girls car after someone lightly keyed it. It took a while, but it worked.

Come to think of it, I bought that meguiars swirl stuff about a year ago. I forgot about it. As good as Meguiars gold class works, I bet this stuff is pretty good too.

You should use a shammy (not sure on the spelling) to dry it off.
The other thing with Black is, you just can't wipe it down, when it's dusty, you should wet it first, then use the shammy. the 3m hand glaze# is 5997 it's about $15.00 it will take the swirls out, follow the directions. the finess it is for taking out light scratches, but to use it on the complete truck, has to be done with a wheel.
