I just finished washing, claybar, waxing, vacumm interior and oil up everything inside. Total time was about 4 hours for the whole thing.

Re: How long does it take you to do the deed?

Depends on how long the foreplay is.

I pressure wash it and the radiator then go to a car wash to get them to wax it and detail the inside.

Re: How long does it take you to do the deed?

For a complete detail, inside and out, can take up to 5+ hours for me. At work we detailed my boss's relative's 05 Ram, and to wash, clay, polish, wax, and completely clean the interior (leather treatment, dressing, extract carpets...), it took us a little over 5 hours

I wash my car and our other vehicles every week or two weeks, I apply a topcoat of wax every month, sometimes more, and a complete exterior detail every 3-4 months

Re: How long does it take you to do the deed?

Took me about 3 hours to do the HD and the Suburban by hand today. Did a little extra and scrubbed out the wheel wells and undercarriage, reapplied RainX, had to a do a little tree sap removal, etc.

It takes me about 13 hours to deep clean and Zaino 3 coats. This includes undercarrage, rims, tires, engine, glass and interior.

Re: How long does it take you to do the deed?

Multiple days.
Day 1: Wash, clean wheels, claybar, Klasse AIO, Klasse SG. 303 all plastic and rubber, polish wheels, dust and 303 plastics in engine compartment, clean carpets.
Day 2: Once over with quick detail to remove 24 hours of dust, 2nd layer of Klasse SG.
Day 3: Once over with quick detail to remove 24 hours of dust, 3rd layer of Klasse SG.
Day 4: Once over with quick detail to remove 24 hours of dust, topper with P21S carnuba.

Day 1 is a 7+ hour affair. Day 2-4 are a couple of hours.

I only clay about once a year, but I do the full 4-day thing every 6 months. Monthly minor touchups of 303 on the rubber/plastic and dusting and 303 of engine compartment.

Re: How long does it take you to do the deed?

That clay bar is my new best friend...

I didnt get much "stuff" out of the paint but after it was waxed it was smoother than it had ever been, plus with the wax the paint looks deeper and richier. Before I used turtle wax..erm...wax, the old kind and that only lasted a few days before it wasnt smooth anymore.

Re: How long does it take you to do the deed?

I usually spend an entire Saturday on mine. Now when I get other vehicles to do, it's a weekend project on the outside alone. But if people have the money to pay, I got the time

Re: How long does it take you to do the deed?

Depends on how much time I have...Quick Detail Spraying and Quik wax + Wheel cleaning = 45 mins. If I have a few days of sun in a row, an hour+ each day starting with washing/wheel clean/wax then quick detail and layer of wax the following days. If I have a full saturday, it takes most of the day.

They are beautiful when taken care of.
It's just the "taking care of" part that I don't have time for.
If I had a decent garage, I'd consider it, but being parked outside... nope.

When I saw it on the lot I had to have it.The other one I was looking at was dark grey.More like a W/T and it was 1000 dollars more.It either had the 5.3 or 5.7 in it,with manual 4x4,bench type seats and vinyl floor.
As for black....It makes it worth it after its waxed....well...until pollen gets all over it.
