Another vote for Rain-X this stuff is unbelievable. Years ago on my old beater an 82 Regal, the wiper motor burnt out so I used exclusively Rain-X with excellent results for at least a couple years.

I can't wait to try this foam Rain-X I am using the bottle with the applicator top right now.

Re: rain x
The foam is great cause you don't have to mess with the film aspect of it. It also come with a little microfiber towel to help with non streak finish.

Re: rain x
I've gotten lazy in my old age. I used to use the standard liquid schtuff but for the past few years I just use the RainX washer fluid.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!

This guy has the answer! I've learned to not be shy about it either. Afterall, its purpose is to shed water, so you're not going to wash it off with a few shots of water. I started out just using a damp paper towel, and lightly wiping the glass to wet the entire surface, then buffed it with paper towel. In a pinch (more like, in a rush), I've used plain window cleaner (no ammonia or vinegar) with good results.

My best friend and his wife came over, and us guys decided to wash their car; wax and all. I suggested putting some RainX on, which his dad used to use, but he hadn't bothered with it in years. Anyway, several months later, his wife was bugging him to apply some more! -- the only downside.

Re: rain x
I use to use it none stop, being that all it does is rain here in OREGON, but it eventually made my windshield almost sticky, it wasn't a film, its like the stuff was causing my winshield to get dirty quicker, I don't know, maybe it was the mix of it and road grime.

Re: rain x
I have used it for years and swear by it,I have never had the film problem. All I do when I apply it is stop at a gas station, use their Squeegee, clean the window, and apply Rain-X.When it dries with that haze I redip the sqeegee in their solution and fling the solution from it onto the window, wipe it dry and boom crystal clear Rain-Xed window! God I love to watch it bead.Nothing is better, especially with old wipers.

Re: rain x
I am like 44Magnum... I am too old/lazy and the windshield wiper fluid is just as good, re-applies everytime you spray your windshield...

Rain X windshield wiper fluid works great, period...

If the wipers jump or seem to struggle, get the Rain X wipers...

Rain X should be standard on all cars and trucks for safety...

Re: rain x
RainX is a requirement for me, my VW diesel wipers have 2 speeds, glacial creep and continental drift. Not sure which is high and low, they're both r e a l l y s l o w.

I've used it for years, recently tried the towelette already soaked with the stuff, it was great. However, I have to agree that a few drops of water and a final wipe are a requirement to get rid of the film.
