no wipers for 8 years. drove 200 miles last year in one shot all in the rain. no problem unless you have to sit at a redlight. Great product!

I can't live without out. I dont use the additive or the rub on. Instead I fill my resovoir with the Bug & Sap remover in the summer, and de-icer variety in the winter. Constant rainx repleneshment and cleans windshield very well. Plus no annoying application.

I use the same stuff. It's hard to find around here sometimes though.

I agree. Seems to rotate between stores in my area lol I usually find it at one of three spots.

If you're having problems with the film lingering, get a sqirt bottle of clean watter and just lightly mist the windshield and then wipe it off with a dry paper towel. Works like a charm.

I use the misted H2O trick too. Works like a charm with no film.

Re: rain x
One thing I have figured out is to NEVER apply it to a hot window. It dries much too quickly and leaves a film that is really a PITA to get off. So make sure you are applying to cool windows!

Re: rain x
Stuff works great, I usually use the wax and glass stripper first then apply the rain-x. The stripper removes all road film and build up from the windshield this way I get no build up from multiple applications.

Re: rain x
Rain X rules!!! I live in Florida and could not imagine not using it. Use a buffer or newspaper and the film comes off pretty good.........

Re: rain x
Clean the windshield first. That means none of that crappy carwash that has the "wax built in" can be on the windshield.

Put it on like car wax using a paper towel folded to about 2x2. Two to three coats of it works best. When done, clean the windshield with window cleaner (like Windex) and the haze/cloudiness will be gone.

The glass HAS to be clean otherwise you'll never get rid of the haze and your windshield might end up sticky (wipers jumping).
Of course I understand the Jeep Thing, you bought all my used parts.

Re: rain x
I use it! My old phatom (truck in sig) I took the wipers off and ran rain-x for a year or so. I have never heard of that water misting thing though. I always use a paper towel and wipe it in good a few times. then I go around and do all the windows then once i get back to the first one i use a newspaper and the film comes right off.

Tonight I put the first (like 8) layers of rain-x on the jag. Love that stuff!

Re: rain x
I haven't used it in months and the water still beads off my windows. I have never had the film problem either, though my windows are usually so dirty that a little rain helps clean them off. My wipers on my car (no truck yet) do jump/hop when there is not enough water to give them lubrication thanks to the X. So yes, I use it.

Re: rain x
I have been using the windshield washer additive for several years. When I buy a new bottle of additive, I just buy 4 gallons of windshield washer, and premix it. I use it in all my vehicles. I like the ability of applying a fresh coat every time I clean my windshield.
