Rubber Cleaner for Tires
Anyone know of a MFGR. who makes a cleaner for tire sidewalls?
I made the mistake of putting ARMOR-ALL on the tires and now the sidewalls are a DIRTY BROWN color. I put some WESTY'S BLEACH WHITE and it KINDA took care of the problem and GENERATED another one! Now I have to polish my wheels because the BLEACH WHITE slighly OVERSPRAYED on the BAHA's and left some nice cloudy white speckels!!!!! ![]()

If you use whestley's wheel bleach or simple green scrub the tires with a brush then hose them off. Then just wash the wheels with soap and water again and it will take off the overspray off the wheels.

Make sure your wheels are cool, if not cold (ambient temp) before spraying anything on them. While they are warm..the "pores" of the material is open and will absorb your cleaner and "discolor" and be a major pain to get off.
You should be able to clean the brown off the tires with your regular automotive soap and some elbow grease and a brush. You might want to have a special brush just for your tires, so it won't get junk on your other stuff. You've gotta polish the wheels every once in a while to maintain the luster and help to protect the finish. That Wesley's stuff is bad for bare aluminum..it can "stain" it permenently. Be careful ![]() |

you can use a wire brush also...then use a good tire dressing (Eagle One).

I use Greased Lightning, you spray it on, give it a little scrub and spray off and your tires will look brand new!!:) :)
