BLACKFIRE Fine Cut Aluminum Polish
Has anyone used this on their wheels?

http://www.blackfireusa.com/blficutalpo.html

I have tried and am still tring to get my Pro Comp 1079's to come back to a nice shine. I'm using Mother's Power Metal Aluminum polish, but just don't think that it's aggresive enough to get them back. They are much better than before I started, but still have an oxidized look. They still look pitted, but they feel super smooth.

I'm going to give this Blackfire "cutting" compound a shot in the hopes that it's removes the staining and oxidizing. They go back over with the Mother's polish paste.

Any thoughts?

Try Blue Magic, its real strong and works very good for bringing back old aluminum. Also if you don't have a powerball mini you should look into one of those, I use mine with great results.

You should be able to use 0000 steel wool and liquid metal polish to bring back the luster. Try it on a small spot first, like between the lug nuts.

Thanks to g9m3c for the sig

Thanks, I'll give that a shot tomorrow.

I do have a powerball mini, but I'm still wondering if this Blackfire is as good as everything I've read about?

Re: BLACKFIRE Fine Cut Aluminum Polish
i've never used black fire but without a doubt the finish on the procomps sucks. i have the same wheels and they oxidize and pit in no time. last time i cleaned them up i had to wash them with acid. wet sand and then polish. there has to be a better way on these damn wheels. they suck. i'm tempted to go back to m/t because they seem to be better quality aluminum

they might be clear coated, could be the reason they arent coming to a shine like they should...

Re: BLACKFIRE Fine Cut Aluminum Polish
Nope, no clear coat. I just think that Pro Comp doesn't use a very high quality of metals.
