Re: headlight haze
Yeah i used the plastx on my old stock headlights and it worked pretty good. The more coats you do the better they will come out. Just follow the instructions and its worth the money.

It also can be used on pitted windows if you got the time to do it.

Re: headlight haze
is the wet sanding pretty easy i dont want to mess anything up or chip any paint, mine are pretty yellow should i start off with an 800 or 1000 grit and go to a 1500 then 2000

Thanks ILD^

Re: headlight haze
My g/f's Eclipse had YELLOWED lights and just for schits and giggles I took out the Turtle Wax (polishing compound/scratch remover) and did one pass then used the meguier's plastic polish.

Night and day difference

So yeah...it was worth the 6 bucks or whatever the plastic polish was.

Thnx 9chevy4

Re: headlight haze
I dont know if i start with anything with a rougher grit that 1500. Its hard to get the scratches out from the plastic if you go too rough. Try what I said and see what you think. Ive heard metal polish works well also.

nah. to me, it isnt worth it. every few months when they start to yellow a little again, i just use a little bit more of my plast-x. and presto! clear headlights. if they get REAL bad, which i don't anticipate, ill give in and buy new ones. but i dont see that coming for a long way off.

Re: headlight haze
I used toothpaste on the headlights on our sedan, and it made a huge difference. There's still room for improvement though (i.e. they don't look new).

Re: headlight haze
after every wash i spend about 3 minutes on each lens with the Mequires stuff. Dont be shy with it though, you need to go to town to really buff it out.
