Cleaning a nasty coolant overflow tank??
My overflow tank looks like a swamp on the inside. What could I put into it to eat away all of the rust colored stuff from bad coolant?

Re: Cleaning a nasty coolant overflow tank??
I would take the tank off, then fill it with hot water and oxalic acid or radiator cleaner. If the tank is nasty, then the rest of the cooling system needs a chemical cleaning, flush, and refill.
