removing splattered bugs
Hey all! Just wondering what you all use? I usually have good luck with acryclean or wax and grease remover but this time not everything came off. This is on the leading edge of the hood and chrome front bumper. Thanks, Troy: sniper:

Re: removing splattered bugs
This combo works very well for bugs. Spray on the bug squash but allow it to dwell a little. Makes for very easy work :)

Re: removing splattered bugs
Whatever you do, DO NOT just start scrubbing!

Use some form of bug & tar remover, but allow it to soak for a while, and do its thing. Then make sure you're using something soft that has soap on it to wash away the guts.

And keep in mind that anything you use to get this stuff off is gonna shorten the lifespan of a coat of wax!

Re: removing splattered bugs
Get a dryer sheet, wet down the area and wipe away. Easy and quickest way you'll ever use.

Re: removing splattered bugs
I try to get the bugs off asap. If that means every day, then so be it. Once the acidic juices from the bugs get baked by the sun your paint is pretty F'ed.

still

Re: removing splattered bugs
Well-buffed paint and a good coat of wax makes getting them off a lot easier next time.
