Re: cleaning wheels nothing works!!!!
Im glad I read all the way through these before I post anything... I was going to tell you to use good wax. The new wheels these days that are not chrome or alum. are all clear coated... just like your paint. all it takes is a bit of wax and some elbow grease and your good as new. dont use chemicals to wash your wheels either!!! just some and water and be quick to rinse. avoid washing them while they are hot too.

Re: cleaning wheels nothing works!!!!
ya but with my wheels there is a clear coat on them i think..
24" DRIV tantrum and there all chrome.
and you can't just use soap and water sure it will work but the chrome + wire cleaner from eagle one is what i use... a few sprays up front (2 or 3) and then a lil wipe down with a mit. also spray the back with the chrome cleaner and spot free rinse after to get rid of brake dust or else they will crack/pit in the back if unmaintained. O and don't foam brush your wheels if you don't wanna see scratches... No sense not foam brushing your truck cuz it scratches then just go ahead and use it on your wheels lol.

Your not polishing right then. Trust me polishing is not an easy thing to do. When its foggy it usually means the polish isnt all the way off.

Are you absolutely positive they are not clear coated? When the sun hits a set of clear coated wheels you can see a "rainbow" effect on the wheel. Sort of like gas/oil on the surface of a puddle of water.

To tell if the lip is clearcoated or not, take any polish and rub a spot on the wheels...if the rag turns black they are NOT clearcoated and will need to be polished and protected on a regular basis to keep them from oxidizing.

Re: cleaning wheels nothing works!!!!
Yeah, it is a lot of wheel. I realize most people on here wouldn't go higher than 20", some sticking to 16" stock, but I got them new and for a good deal. I have a set of 22s too in my sig, but they are in need of a rechrome. Besides, its allowed me to focus more on performance. I have spun these new ones twice and briefly, but it does feel good. You should see up here in alberta what with the patch and rigs, def not uncommon to see a diesel with an 8 inch lift on mud 37s with a 24 inch rim. More pointless than my application lol

Re: cleaning wheels nothing works!!!!
If you wheels are not clear coated they will turn black when you polish them with metal polish. You may have sand them down with some 1000 grit paper then 1500- 2000 and re-polish to get rid of the scratches.
