Re: microfiber drying towel
Does anyone besides myself ever use a real CHAMOIS anymore? Expensive but they last forever.

No, because they have been found to take the wax off allot quicker then a terrycloth towel or microfiber. althought hey do a great job of drying. I like to use them on my windows.

Re: microfiber drying towel
To refresh my MF's i use this product..
http://www.properautocare.com/miremicl.html
just throw em in the wash and use this. Use the rinse cycle twice to be sure ALL the soap is gone. I haven't had a problem yet..

i haven't used anything but the absorber since i learned how to detail cars at age 17 at a ford dealership ( i know fellas ford right, but hey i was 17 and working) now at 34 i still use the absorber and they last forever! I only buy a new one when i get a new vehicle and i clean it with a powerwasher.

I know that you guys are going to think I'm nuts but, the other day i had the electric leaf blower out doing lawn work, then washed the truck, and i must say what an awesome job it did. You don't have to worry about access water behind anything on sitting under something. All water gone.

Re: microfiber drying towel
I use the Absorber, and I have used them for years.
Then I use microfiber for wipe down with quick shine etc.
I use 100% cotton white rags to polish my billet wheels, steering wheel, etc.

Absorbers, squeegees, chamois, etc. will scratch your pant. Leaf blower + waffle weave works wonders.
I use an Absorber on my truck because it works well, but I don't really care about the paint. I only use 100% cotton wash mitts, towels, polishing cloths on my car though.

Re: microfiber drying towel
Absorber is bad idea if your worried about scratching.... Has no pockets so any sand or dirt that could still be on surface after washing gets drug across paint, seen it happen. Use a waffle weave imo.

Re: microfiber drying towel
microfiber towels are great as long they are CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN other wise they will trap dirt in them and scratch your paint to hell and back. the paint has to be CLEAN also

Re: microfiber drying towel
Id never touch mine with a chamois. Just flood the panel, then dry the rest with a foam core/wafflewave microfiber towel.
