Re: Water spots!?!
after you wash, use a super absorbent drying cloth

Re: Water spots!?!
Bingo. Run though car wash, pull into covered parking, wipe water off with one of those HUGE microfiber towels, drive home and wax.

Re: Water spots!?!
I have heard of guys mixing in some vinager with their soap and water bucket when washing at hope to get rid of water spots. Sounds like you have a very bad hard water problem in your town.

Re: Water spots!?!
The key is to not let it idly air dry, especially not in sun light. When I wash my truck at home, it is large enough that the top of the truck will start drying as I continue washing the rest. I have to continually wet the top half while I wash the bottom. Then I either use the water blade or a lot of towels to get it dry ASAP.
When I go to the coin-op wash, I can usually get away with going for a quick drive to blow the water off, but it sounds like you have hard water there.

Re: Water spots!?!
the spotting is caused by the dissolved minerals in your water
hook your hose up with a filter when you wash your truck and dry it immediately

Re: Water spots!?!
Install a water soften system at you house that will fix the problem. Will it happen when you get you like the works meaning wax, clear coat protector, and spot free rinse? What you should do since it's that color buy some micro-soft towels and stop in a shaded place to finish drying off the truck correct also get a good amount of wax on that paint. I use Nu-Finish or I used too now I just have my truck detailed.

Re: Water spots!?!
Hard water is the culprit but switching the brand of wax you are using would be a good thing too. I can't stand turtle wax branded car products. Adding a drying phase to your routine ought to take care of the problem too as it won't give those hard minerals a chance to adhere to the paint.
I used to towel dry but have recently switched to using one of those "absorber" synthetic chamois things you can probably find at a Target or WalMart. They are phenomenal at drying quickly without any risk of fine scratching and there's no lint that can be left behind.

Re: Water spots!?!
Like everyone has said dry it with a good towel, but after I dry mine I always get a spray on detailer and go over the truck again and that gets any water spots plus and dirt that was missed up. Like others have said it could be your wax to you may want to try another brand.

Re: Water spots!?!
we have city water & a water softener, and i always the california water blade to dry mine as quickly as possible, along with a towel to get the small areas. also, do not wash/dry in direct sunlight.
before moving here, we had "well water" in the country, and was hard, but as long as you washed it in the shade or when it was cool out, it would turn out pretty decent. just be sure to keep it wet & cool until your finally ready to dry it.

Re: Water spots!?!
I like to use both the waterblade and the absorber for the hard to reach spots
