Re: Mr Clean Auto Dry......anyone use it?
It works. It just sucks that the filters don't last long at all. Don't believe the number of washes they put on the package. If you have a filter already installed on your home water system, you might get half what they advertise. It really does work though. I've used it on my truck many times with no water spots. I always dried it afterwards anyway, but even the spots that had air dried didn't water spot.

interesting, do you know if you can get the filters at walmart or is that something you have to order?

You can get them, it's not worth it though really, someone gave me one as a gift, lasted 2 washes on the first filter. I wasn't going to pay for filters every 2 washes so I would just get you some shammy cloths and some good towels and go to work, it's worth the savings I think.

Just like most things in life, it all depends on how valuable the few minutes of time it would take to shammy it is worth to you.

If I can shammy this dry in under 15 minutes I don't see why you would need the Autodry...

Re: Mr Clean Auto Dry......anyone use it?
Sounds like we all tried it untill the filter wore out. Its taking up space on my shelf. to bad we cant recycle it. Seems like alot of plastic on its way to landfill.I figured the cost of the filters out etc. it was cheaper for me to just wash it at the coin op and wash it there

You know, on the original filter that comes with the kit it states only good for up to 3 uses....
Refills are good for up to 10 uses. They work good.

Re: Mr Clean Auto Dry......anyone use it?
I'm on my second kit. I wash my Black SS in hot sun and as long as I keep it completely wet with unfiltered water until I'm ready for the final rinse then once I've applied the final rinse I walk off and it dries spot free. I usually get about 10 washes per filter. You can buy the soap & filters at most autoparts stores. I usually get mine at Autozone. Also, you have to use the Mr. Clean soap, I tried a different soap and had water spots.

Now why the hell would they do that? Why wouldn't they put a good one in it at first?

Re: Mr Clean Auto Dry......anyone use it?
i love mine, i used to have a jet black maxima and i know how bad water spots show up. the auto dry will make ur truck look great but the only bad thing is the filters. on the side of the gun it says to replace the filter every 3 uses, but i usually get 4-5 before i start getting water spots again. hope this helps you in your decision
