I've got the Banks 6-gun and it's nice having 6 options. 4, 5 & 6 are so much fun, I love roasting my 35's every now and then. Even beat an audi (A4 I think) last summer.

We've got a 70 Hp tune from North Little Rock Street and Performance. I'm wanting to get the PPE Hot Excellerator with the ET eliminator when the tranny finally gets built.

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
I just ordered a Predator Diablosport today! I can't freakin' wait! I mainly want it for the diagnostics and the speedo calibration since I just got bigger tires put on and I'm suppose to have some sort of Edge product installed in Sept. Since you can use them at the same time, I'll use the Edge for performance and the Predator for the calibrations and diagnostics.

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
i have the hypertech, went with it cause they claim it to be the safest for performance and towing, you can even tow in the stage 3 mode. i also had one for my f150 and it worked good on that truck and it was on sale for $280. install took 10 minutes and what a difference, truck gets up and goes like a sports car, smokes the tires at will and im still getting 18-20 mpg! i love it, i even beat my girlfriends infiniti g35 (280 hp w/6 speed manual), and yes, she does know how to drive it. i love this DMAX!!

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
Man I got my Predator in the mail last Friday and I was all excited to get it installed. I started the process and right away it says "incorrect Vin#" So then I flip over the owner's manual and sure as sh!t there's someone's scribble all over it. So I called the place I ordered it from and I believe that they were more mad about it than me! They said they never sell used stuff and that Diablosport must have got some returns mixed in with their new stuff. Anyway, they had Predator send a new one out today and I should get it this week sometime.

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
I the edge and bully dog. But more than likely if I ever get a D-max I would get a westers tune. since I'm gonna get a westers tune on my 1500, I would go that route b/c of the fact they have free upgrades.

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
I have just got me a custom tune from predator - not the plug under the dash one, the fit in the loom, invisible to stealership one. The difference is real - I went to Donington's dyno, in Chicago, and got 410 hp 876 ft lb. Coupled with the stick shift this truck rocks. I towed a 14,590 pound trailer over from Seattle, WA, last week, and got 11.6 mpg, at 65 mph average - I didn't take the truck out of 6th most of the way. The jacob's brake kept the beast tame down the hills, and we had a blast. Did a muffler delete as well, that makes for the thunder of a mighty diesel... Go Oilers.

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
I installed my Predator Friday and this truck is nothing but fun now! I can't believe how you just blow by people. Last night I had my truck loaded down with six people, my bed full of tools, equipment, coolers, and a trailer with a four-wheeler on it and it seemed like it was empty. We were just blowing by people on hills on the interstate and it never even came out of OD. This is on the 65hp/150tq setting. I couldnt even imagine running this Predator on the 120hp setting. I'm going to have to get a Trans-go or some sort of tranny upgrade so I can try it out!

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
Guys, how about listing which DM you have with the tune you like?

So LB7, LLY (early-late) or LBZ.

I am leaning towards the Diablo since I can upgrade, adjust tires and check codes too. Liked it on my 1500HD, but had to get the DM.

EFILIVE!!!

nothin' beats it. I love it!! The ability to trade/share tunes with people, make your own tunes, or even (oops) modify premade (PPE, Quad, etc) tunes is priceless IMO...

Banks? As in Gale Banks Engineering? I don't know what catalog you're looking at, but better look again...

If you're looking to go beyond simple stuff like tuners, Banks can't help. They do very little in the way of hard parts outside of wastegate actuators & intercoolers - They sure as hell don't make a turbo for the DMax, much less a twin set-up
Drive it like I stole it? Why slow down?
