Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
My brother has a 05 dually with the edge and WOW that thing hauls azz. It is the first dually I have seen that just lights up the tires.

The edge also does not trigger any codes even with towing 20k+ pounds.

I voted Edge but Quadzilla and Van Aaken are to more good ones that could be added to the list.

Three options added to the poll for you guys. Personally, I wouldn't mind going the Banks route.

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
I had the Edge, sold it, bought it back, sold it again.
I have been running the Predator (Diablosport) for over a year now. I limped the tranny last fall on the 85 setting, limped it about 2 months ago on 65hp setting, and now am on the 40hp setting. If it limps again, I am screwed, it's already on the lowest setting. I know the tranny needs replaced, just waiting on 5G's or so to fall from the sky so I can turn the wick back up.

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
wish i could put on one mine. i have to get a entire computer.

i have driven a CTS with the edge kit on it and wow. crewcab long bed dually was spinning in circles, fishtailing, anything with ease. like i was driving on ice. and it was set in the race mode, not the extreme. so edge gets my programer vote.

but if your wanting more than what a programmer can give you i'd have to say banks for their hard parts like their twin turbo dmax setup.
Thanks 9chevy4
I caught your jeep thing and now it burns when I pee!

98 Crewcab.7" with 36x14.5's now SOLD!!

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
Until I get a Suncoast or Transgo upgrade, I'm not going to get too wild with the tuners. I would love to get a Predator not only for the performance but it also has real-time diagnostics so I can monitor those freakin' injectors! My buddy is supposedley going to hook me up with the Edge w/ Attitude soon. A lot of people seem to be happy with those now.

What is (if any) the price differance between all these? Are they all about the same as far as installing and taking out if need be?

Re: Diesel Tuners: What do you want or have?
The Predator is about 400 bucks and the Edge with Attitude is about 800. The Predator is a handheld that just plugs in the OBII port and you go through the instructions. The Edge is a box that plugs in under the hood and it stays there.

2 big differences between the Predator and the Edge w/Attitude.

The predator is a one shot deal, whatever program you upload to the truck's computer is what you get.

The Edge w/Attitude offers 5 levels of power selection, along with gauages to monitor Engine Load, Exhaust Gas Temp, and a plethora of other engine parameters. It has a small display that is not obtrusive and doesn't require buying a "mounting pod" just to fit in your truck *cough* bullydog *cough*. The customer support from Edge is second to none. My dad was having a problem with his Edge W/attitude, it would kill the truck sometimes and not let it start back up. Edge took the Juice module back and had a new one to us in less than 2 weeks without really asking any questions. The truck now runs better than ever, on power level 2 or 3 you can hardly tell it's a diesel truck by the way it takes off, and levels 4 and 5 are just outright insane, spinning the 265/75/16's Rugged Trails with ease.

Obviously my vote goes to the Edge. I was a vendor for Bullydog, Predator, and Edge, but I never actually sold the Predator or Bullydog after going over the features and benefits of each one.
