The kit will fit, (anything is possible) but you will most likely find the instructions lacking and slightly different for your application (they were designed for the old trucks-01-04 LB7) and there are some differences. But, nonetheless, it can be done. Few guys on the Diesel Place have done it.

Re: body lift for 2500HD 6.6L
how much extra work is it installing a BL on a dmax, ive read that its a lot more difficult than a gas truck, is this true? and is that why the BL costs over 300 bucks and most of the gas truck BL's are like $150?

I assume that your 04 duramax dosent have cat converter. I was wondering about pulling my cat off of my LLY. I heard that i would have to do some mods to bypass some service lights? Thanks

Kitty? what kitty? I had no problems when I cut mine off. Some do, but mine didn't. Occasionally I can find some stored trouble codes when I scan with the predator, but they aren't bad enough to trip the SES light.

Not true. Its not much different at all. May have to fabricate some spacer for the fan shroud.

I would imagine he wants to run bigger tires and have more clearance, w/o spending the money for a suspension lift. Why else do people but BL's on trucks?

Re: body lift for 2500HD 6.6L
you can run 35inch with triming and puting on one of theses kits
http://www.cognitomotorsports.com/01...ing_system.htm
http://www.offroadunlimited.com/Prod...idCategory=216
cheaper and safer than a body lift on a allready body lifted truck

Not cheaper at all. Cognito kit is almost $500. Safer based on what?

Re: body lift for 2500HD 6.6L
I never said I didn't have the money.

My question was what isn't safe? You still have not answered the question with any facts.

All you keep saying is that its already body lifted. So? Is the body lift going to stack spacers? No. So what makes it any different than any other truck with a body lift?

Maybe a body lift isn't for you, but maybe it works fine for others.

Re: body lift for 2500HD 6.6L
your truck has 2 inch spacer to lift the body so the trany will fit and most body lifts are 3 inch so 5 iches off the frame is what I am talking about being less safe than just adjusting the suspention and well just look like crap to

heck doing what you did is safer and cheaper than a body lift on these trucks

heck the guy with the question still has never actualy said what he is trying to achive so people can help he get the disired result

Re: body lift for 2500HD 6.6L
Evidently you haven't even crawled under your own truck...because if you had you would notice there is no "2 inch spacer" as you claim there is...do your homework before you keep posting false info.
