Question Allison Transmission ratios
What are the individual gear ratios for the Allison 5-speed and 6-speed transmissions?

Thanks

From what I understand, the only difference is the addition of 6th gear. 1-5 are the same.

Re: Allison Transmission ratios
Hmm that's a pretty flat 6th gear, guess it's best tied to a 4.10 rear than a 3.73. Thanks for the info.

Re: Allison Transmission ratios
My 06 will hold 6th on every mountain out here I have been on 8%+, but I haven't towed yet I have heard it still does quite well loaded. No Damx has ever came with 4:10 no need unless you have a large lift.

Yeah, there'd be so much torque you wouldn't need the gears.
What kind of rpm do you turn at 60mph in top gear in that thing?
