03 duramax transfer case problems?
Has anyone else out there had problems with their transfer cases in an 03 duramax. My dad just recently lost his. He has 140000 miles on it, and never abuses it. Most of the miles are all highway. All of a sudden it started making a weird grinding like noise, and we took it an and they said that all the fluid leaked out. The weird part was that there wasnt a drop of fluid in the garage, so it must have all leaked out when he was driving.....

Re: 03 duramax transfer case problems?
if it was anything like the problem ive been seeing with the newer fords, the seal between and t-case and the tranny leaks, and all the t-case fluid leaks into the tranny. t-case will be empty and tranny over full, none on the ground. its weird but its the truth

Keep an eye on the fluid level if your still have the same case there is problem with the pump wearing a small hole through the case.
