fan noise 06 LBZ
my fan makes a lot of noise after sitting overnight,I was told it is the oil being dist thru the fan thats makes it LOUD. but this weekend after pulling our 9k trailed for over a hour @ 70mph and slowing dwn because of traffic/construction it makes the LOUD noise again. why does it do this the temp was in the high
80's all weekend, and the fan I suppose was turning the whole time. it sounds like a hurricane going down the road then stops after a few minutes.

Perfectly normal. It's the fan clutch, it automatically engages when the temp reach's a certain point. Sounds like a Hurricane!

I love my Diesel 2500!!! This is my first Diesel, I was the last of the camping buddies to get one for towing ever larger and larger RVs. We have all three major makers of trucks in our group - Ford Super Duty F250 and Dodge Ram 2500 and mine is the quiet one!!!

When I drive around town my truck sounds like B-52 or B-1 engines at idle which is really cool!!!
