The 130,000 miles kinda scares me a little, ecspecially for an 04.

Re: Does this D-Max look decent?
130,000 miles isn't much for a Dmax... 19g's sounds almost too good to be true though.

My guess is somebody pulled a 5th wheel trailer around the country.

If thats the case, there could be lots of different things that aren't right with it. But it could be just fine... You'll just have to check it out I guess.

You can set my truck on fire, and roll it down a hill, and I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe DeVille.

I'd say call them up and ask for the vin# and look up the maintenance records thru GM, also run a carfax. Nice find!

Re: Does this D-Max look decent?
I doubt its like this on an '04 HD, but I remember something about frame damage from pulling a trailer around so much. I doubt it has much or any at all, and its probably not going to affect it at all.

If it was a trailer puller, the interior may be a little "lived in," so to speak.

Thanks for the heads up. When you say "lived in" are you saying the interior will look well used? Almost kinda trashy?

Something along those lines... It shouldn't really be bad. Maybe the occasional carpet/upholstery stain.

My friends parents bought him an H2 with 90,000 miles that was some rich family's travel vehicle. And from people getting comfortable while on the road, there were just minor cosmetic things wrong with it. Wrinkled seats, texture/finish rubbed off panels, stains, etc.

I'm guessing this is a lower-end Dmax, so you won't have to worry so much about those things so much, since the lower end models seem to be tougher.

If there's anything really wrong with it, it could have a salvage title or something. Its probably fine, but I'd give it a thorough check anyways.

Just want to make sure but, you are making a serious comment? If so, is there any kinda maintence that might have to be done around those kinda miles?

The price is good but 130,000 miles sounds a bit too high for me, especially in a 2 year old truck. The DMax may be OK but there are things like the Injection Pump, Glow plugs, etc. that may need replacing. Other components like the tranny, rear axle and suspension, front axle and suspension also may need a look. There is more to a truck than just the engine and just because its highway miles the truck still has 130,000 miles of wear and you may be in for a big bill despite what Carfax may tell you. Personally, I wouldn't touch it, but it's your money.

Yeah, I mean its a diesel and she just broke in now, there are 100k's more to go on that diesel, unlike a gas engine with the same miles. If you were to get it, I would replace the coolant, probley replace the tranny fluid, and drop in a new tranny filter. I think this is great from what we know... Make sure you check out everything! You could low-ball them and get a great truck for an even better price, not to mension if the only problem is a little worn interior. Just make sure she's mechanically sound, a little interior work is nothing.

X2 I could'nt have said it better! Personally I'd rather shell out a little more $$$ now and have a nicer rig (lower milage) rather than have to spend that same amount of money on repairs. And w/ 130K on the clock it'll need work sooner than later. IMO, I'd pass.

That's exactly my point. For another 5-6 G's you could have a loaded truck with 1/2 the milage. With 1/2 the milage that's a lot more driving you get to do with out having to spend money on repairs. And that's money you could spend on mods !! You could drive the truck w/65K on it for a few YEARS and still not have as much milage on it as this one does. Plus if it allready has 130K on it now what will the re-sale be like down the road?

I see.... good point

Well I guess.. like I said if he could low-ball him and score it for around 15k rather than the 19k, it just might be worth it. True Firestrike87, your resale price will end up killing you possibly in the future. Good points chevytodd sorry I ever doubted you
