Transmission slippage
I was wondering if any of you guys with the juice chip has noticed the transmission slipping. And do anyone know how much power you can safely get without transmission upgrades?

Re: Transmission slippage
i know on the earlier years of the d-max/allison you needed to get stiffer shift springs for your tranny but i think that was fixed in 04.

Re: Transmission slippage
General rule of thumb is the stock Allison will hold about 100 ft-lbs of torque over stock output, so yes, that Juice w/ Attitude is certainly capable of causing a slip on the high settings.

When you say 'slip' are you just monitoring slippage on the monitor or actually going into limp mode?

Re: Transmission slippage
Some slip on the EM is normal level 2 is safe 3 is pushing it.

Re: Transmission slippage
i run mine of lvl 3/5. i think its just luck of the draw when it comes to tranny's. some guys run their ally hard all the time on lvl 4 0r 5 and never have a problem (but its just a matter of time) other guys run on lvl 3 and mess up the tranny. i think if you drive it normal/lite on the lvl you are planning on running you will be better off if you get on it hard from time to time. this gives the allsion time to learn the higher power so its not such a shock to the system. it is a big shock if you just crank it up to lvl 5 and give her hell.. just my 2 cents
