Do it. You know you will. Remember when you were leaving the truck stock? How'd that work out for ya?

Actually really good for like um 5 months....2,000 miles..... Damn it Ted! You helped create a monster!!!

I've got some pipe laying around and an itch to do some welding, I might have to see what I come up with for pieces and parts.

Stacks on a workhorse or off road truck serve a purpose. To me they're just like Lund Stick on hood scoops. When they're done just for the looks, they're stupid as hell in my own opinion.

How the hell can you tell a difference? If by just for looks you mean "fake" then, yes I agree. But if you see a truck parked, not running, and you don't climb under it, how can you possibly tell what the intention is? I have seen horrific looking stacks on 1/2T rams, that looked ghey, but still actually were functional. Lund stick on scoops are never functional, so the two cannot be compared. One is purely cosmetic, and the other is more functional. I do agree that not every truck can pull it off.

Is there any such thing as a black stack (black as in the color)? That could look ok i guess if it was that black chrome, might even look good. I like the single stack much more than the duals, it gives the appearance of there being more smoke and i think cosmetically it just looks better.

Yes, I have heard some claim that Powdercoating works, but I don't know firsthand about that. You can get a stack ceramic coated (or any exhaust) similar to jet hot, that will stand up to the heat.

Those single stacks look so out of place IMO. Either have 2 or none

Yeah, it cruised by the tent once. So, I did get to see it.
Leaving my chair, meant walking, which meant getting hot, which meant sweating more, which meant....ahh, piss on it. I'll stay in the chair and count on you guys' pictures to see what I missed.

I couldn't disagree more, i like the singles way better than the duals. I also like the black stacks, but i'm not really a big fan of chrome anything, my bowtie and kc's are buggin the crap out of me because they're too shiney.

single > duals. Plus with dual stacks the bed becomes a lot more useless.

on the original topic

I think stacks done right are awesome!

^^ he has 6" straights mitered now... he actually did the straights last year.

i dont care if people dont like stacks, to each their own. but to anyone that thinks stacks (on diesals) = rice...
