140K mile 2003 Duramax
Would you be scared to purchase a 2003 Duramax 4WD with 140K miles on it? What are some things to look for before buying?

scan the computer for codes.
check the vin with your dealer for a history.
make sure the transmission shifts well when its cold and hot
check for smoke at idle and when you get on it.
look for a pyrometer probe in the pass side exhaust manafold. signs of a chip
