Guidance for Z71 motor swap
Hey guys I'm a new comer on the site and I'm looking to the more experienced guys and gals here to guide me on the best swap out for my colorado z71 crew cab 4x4. Right now she has a 3.0l Dmax motor in it "diesel", made from Isuzu..........
What I'm trying to achieve is more HP.
I'm thinking about shoehorning a 6.6l V8 twin turbo diesel into her.
Any thinkers out there on this idea?

THAT's a lot of motor to put in there. I know the s-10s could fit a sbc, but that motor is comparable to a BBC, unless you cut the fender wheels out, severely upgrade the suspension, and have a butt load of cash, i doubt it could be done in your back yard.

It's pretty packed full under the hood on a fullsize truck. Maybe something like a 5.9 cummins would fit with twin turbo. I don't know if the 6.6 will or not fit. I would hate to change the fuel filter on that colorado lol.

I'd like to get a hold of a isuzu I-370 with the 3.0 diesel. I think they are similar to the colorado. Yeah what you get for mileage with that 3.0?
