Alright, just reard through this whole thread. You got some ballz for cutting it all up like that...I could never do it to my own truck, but this whole time I've been thinking..... why in the H would you put all this work and money into it if you plan on selling it. Keep the thing...selling that would be more like throwing it away!

2005- 2500, Duramax/Allison, torsion bars cranked with 1" block, 33-12.50R17 Mickey T MTZ's on 17x9 MKW-27, Silverline 4" stainless straight pipe, Predator programmer, tie-rod sleeves, much more.

2007 Silverado LT2 TX Edition lowered the rear 2" and put a cool air intake on it and 2 10" Rockford Fosgate subs in a custom box and Borla cat back system and Line-X also has a Custom Tune.

Nice job I can't wait to see it completed. How hard is it to remove the existing factory hinges? I have to replace mine. One is broken.

And for selling it, It's looking like I'm going too. But we'll see how things go in the spring!

i just had to replace 4 of mine and if you only have to do one its not bad.. if you look in the hinge you will see 4 small dots...thats where the hinge is welded.. get a 1/2 in drill bit and drill it out then take a chizzle and knock it off..sounds easier than it really is but still not that hard

Had to take the door off, Which suc*ks because now, We have to put it back on




Got the wiring harness done,


They have a nice channel to run all the wires,





Thought that part would've be a little hard, But hey, We'll take it..

No problem man. also the holes we welded up were the old striker and where a shop in town butchered in the popper for the shaved handles.

oh and i could of swarn i said not to post pics of me you ass.

As nice as this build appears to be coming along, I think you've scared me off of ever trying it. If I do, I'm finding a POS truck to attempt it on. That way, if I flub duck, I won't cry at the thought of destroying such a beautiful machine.
