Re: Shaving roof..
I've cut the roof off the rear of my 2dr,I still need to weld up the hole up front from the rack also. And smooth the rail's in the remaining roof above the cab.
My welding is terrible,I'm practicing on some less important stuff that need's to be tacked up before I do the easy stuff like misc hole's like that.
Def post up more progress pic's.

Re: Shaving roof..
As in I cut everything above the window edge behind the B pillar.
Here's the rough cut,I don't have any pic's yet since it's been cleaned up. It's not quite finished yet, still need's some more seam's welded.
I'm cutting out all obtrusion's and putting flat sheetmetal interior panel's and a rollcage.
The rear suspension isn't finished yet,and the belltech's in the front are raised all the way up.

BTW,I swear i'm not ruining this thing by doing that. It was beat to hell when I got it and a sheetmetal panel was welded into the window edging on one of the cargo side's.

Re: Shaving roof..
I guess I should start a buildup thread?
I've got peice's of one here and there on other forum's.
These pic's were a few week's ago,it's now torn down even more. About 30% in primer,it will eventually all be primer, with black 18's.
If anyone need's ANY part's from a 92 2 door than let me know, cause I'm tearing EVERYTHING out minus the dash.
In fact most if it's already out. Anyone need an ABS motor?Windshield reservoir?Back hatch glass?Wiper motor?Misc interior panel's?Bucket seat's?Rear seat?Center console?

Re: Shaving roof..
mrteacha,
what panel are you talking about?
I'm assuming you were talking to me,do you mean the one on the inside of the tailgate or around the hatch glass?

yup wastalkingtoyou def, I am refering tothe panel inside the gate. I could actually also use the one around the hatch glass. My rear lock was "stuck" so i had to break the trim pieces off since they were held in place with screws. This gaveme access to the locking mechanism in the gate.Lock wasfixed but thepanels were not repairable...lol

Re: Shaving roof..
How do you remove the overhead console & the dome lights. I am currently removing everything so that I can have my holes welded up. Any help would be appreciated.
