Shaving roof..
Started getting ready to shave the roof, For real this time..

We pretty much gutted everything,











Third brake light, Gone..




Everything will be ground drown, And welded up, Then painted..


Will updated as we go..

Sweet.
Please take lot's of pic's,I'm cutting off my back hatch area completely and will need to shave the bump's from above the cab.
Curious to see how you do it,i'll be learning to mig with mine more than likely.
I'll have plenty of the old sheetmetal to practice on though!

I saw a hoe that used 3 sections of extended cab roofs to smooth their roofs. Less welding and looked perfect. If your really good with an english wheel then it's a different story...

thats a good idea but i dont think we have the skill to pull that off.

I was going to maybe split it down the middle and make some choice cut's on the end and fold the material in.Then weld up the seam's and depend on good body work after grinding.
I will have quite a bit less to do though,maybe only a few several inch section's.
I'm cutting from the b pillar back off,not sure how far it extend's over the cab.
