Relay to battery, ground to ground, high to pole 85 or 86 (the on switch) low to 87. My lows don't flicker at all when I switch, highs just come on.

1 relay and harness to do this? You have DRL correct (being in Canada)?

Something doesn't make sense because pin #87 is switched so how can the LB stay on when switched to HB? Is there something else in your harness that you forgot or am I missing something here?

DRLs are disabled. Pulled that fuse years ago. I don't think I forgot anything, I'll double check tomrorow in daylight.

That 'could' be part of the reason your's work. I have heard that people are having issues with the 4HI and DRL's.

Did you make the harness? Is there a diode or something in there to keep the LB voltage from flowing back when HB are flicked on?

Re: HID upgrade...the right way!
I actually purchased the harness from Mrtaillight.com and it came all wired together in looms, so it's possible they put a diode in.

Re: HID upgrade...the right way!
Thanks for the info, I sent him an E-mail to ask if his kit works with DRL's. For $12.99 it's not worth me making, parts alone are probably close to that up here.

The only thing he gets us on is shipping, but yeah, it is easier in the long run.

Re: HID upgrade...the right way!
I see no real need for ever using my highbeams so its not really a big deal anyway...my HIDs drown out the dull halogen highbeam anyhow.

Why, how much is shipping? $30 US or something?

They probably did...mine's wired the same way as ikon and I have a flicker when I turn the high beams on, which is hardly ever. You can't even tell when they are on.

Re: HID upgrade...the right way!
you did an awesome job with those hids and did your homework, but i put hids on my truck over three years ago (8000K) and mine look just as good if not better and i just put a lit in specifically made for a composite type headlight...

What do you mean made specifically for a composite headlight?

Re: HID upgrade...the right way!
I believe he meant the word "kit" not lit. Did you do a HID reflector swap into the halogen housing? If not I hope that housing hasn't turned into a glare monster for oncoming traffic.
