On the two white GMC's from the second page, were the reflector's just taken out or were they painted or replaced? Also, on the GMC's is cutting the only way?

Re: How too clear NNBS GMT900 07-08 Silverado Headlights
So I had done one of my lights today, I got a question though. My silicone job is rather.... what's the word I am lookin for... Sh*tty.... Is it possibly to like sand it down a little bit and finish it off, or what's a way to take a layer of silicone off so I can finished it nicer?
I mean it is garunteed sealed, there ain't gonna be any moisture getting in there, I put 3 layers on. I put the thin layer on before I closed em up. I put a layer on after it dried for an hour and took my finger and smoothed it, and then waited like 2 hours and put another layer on and tried smoothing it out and it just turned out kinda crappy.
Can you even see the part you cut and siliconed from the outside unless the part when the hood is opened? Cuz if not I won't even fvck with it then.

You can't see anything with the hood closed. Don't worry about it.

Re: How too clear NNBS GMT900 07-08 Silverado Headlights
Almost finished clearing the lights on my 08 silverado. Took longer than I thought but turned out well. I used a dremel tool and was able to keep the cuts really clean. Biggest PIA was cutting the 2 tabs on each reflector.

There's one thing all the pics I've seen don't have: Silver bulbs. I haven't seen them here in the states, but in Japan they had these silver painted bulbs that blended in really well with clear corners and the like. Once illuminated, all you see is orange though.

Re: How too clear NNBS GMT900 07-08 Silverado Headlights
This may not be the only way to clear your lights, some may like the oven method but it didnt work for me and actually melted a light. Therefore, I found this to be the best method for me, and it has worked well for myself and others.
DISCLAIMER >>> I am in no way responsible for anyone that trys this method and scews up their lights...so only do this if your confident....we all have different skill levels that were comfortable with.
The only tools I used is an air cut-off tool with a 3" X 1/16" thick disc, an exacto knife to clean up the edges later, and a screwdriver to pry off the amber sections. The other tools were used for removeal of the light.
