Color-Matching Mirrors and Bumper
The mirros on my truck have chrome looking insert on the front-facing side, and I was wondering where I could get a glossy black insert to match the color of my truck?

Or would it be easier to just have a body shop color match the insert already on it?

Also, how hard would it be to color-match the front bumper (top plastic piece), and the bottom bumper valence?

Re: Mirrors
For the mirrors, you could have them painted, or you could order a insert from JP Customs, here's the link:

For the top piece, you could just paint it and the lower valance to match, or something else would be to find the cap and valance/fogs from a Z71 tahoe or suburban that got hit in the side or whatever and is the same color as your truck. They are already painted to match. JP Customs also has paintable bumper caps, but I've never seen painted valances from the factory besides the ones on the above mentioned vehicles.

Re: Mirrors
Wonder how hard it would be to paint all of those parts (mirros inserts, top bumper, and lower valence) for the body shop I'm taking my truck to; putting lift kit on.

Re: Mirrors
for someone that knows how to do it, it's cake. clean the peice off, scuff it up well so the paint sticks. then start the painting. (and all that that entails)

Re: Mirrors
It's a little involved. The mirrors are pretty easy. You can just scuff them and spray them. The cap and the lower valance are bare plastic and are textured, painting them always looks a little weird. You can sand the texture down lay down some bare plastic primer(HoK Plastick works great)followed by a heavy build primer to fill what's left of the texture. Then wetsand and spray with color, and BAM smooth bumper pieces.
