white OBS reverse lights?
The bulbs i have in now are kinda dull. i have a light bar across the rear under tail gate that lights up with white LEDS when i shift to reverse. has anyone converted their reverse lights to LEDS or a whiter bulb? and if so what did you do?

The light bars is leds that are attached to the body. they are dim red for running lights bright red for brake lights and white for reverse.

Re: white OBS reverse lights?
if you go with LEDs get the tower bulbs from vled.com since theyre some of the brighter bulbs out there. But remember, the LEDs wont project light too well so dont expect good reverse lights.

If those PIAA ones match the white led hue then i would go for those.

Re: white OBS reverse lights?
i got them from styling trucks when i ordered some other parts they gave me a deal on them. but you might find one of your higher end parts stores carry them. i tried the leds and liked the look of the light but had crap for output. went with the piaa lights and they are a whole lot brighter.

Re: white OBS reverse lights?
its not that i really need the output. my light bar puts out plenty i just dont like the look of the yellower halogens next to the LEDs.

Re: white OBS reverse lights?
if light output doesnt matter much i would say get the tower leds from vleds. those look great! the piaas are bad ass but they are a hyper white with a blue tint.

Re: white OBS reverse lights?
Well I know this may not be what you want to do, but what I did on my truck was mount some cheap 55 watt bulbs underneath my back bumper. This definately helps when backing up when its dark. I have them wired up to both a switch and so that they automatically come on when I put it in reverse.
