Re: Fire Stik/cb Mount Pics
the lift is the superlift FIT kit with full rear springs and bilstein shock upgrade. It ran somewhere between 1800 and 1900 shipped. I also put on a 2" body lift... for a little more clearance over the 35s.... which instead prompted me to get the big arse 355s

i usually buy my stuff from www.rockymountainsusp.com. nice people to work with and their prices are usually unbeatable. and if there is a lower price somewhere, they'll beat it.

Cobra 18 WX ST II. The Cobra 19 is about the same size, but the 18 has a front mount speaker. It's a great radio. When the warranty runs out on it, I'm going to have it peaked and tuned. All I need to get it farther in the dash is to trim the back of that tray a little and it will slide on in.

2-3 inches or so. It blocks the front cupholder if you try to put a tall glass in it. It won't be hard to trim the plastic, I just haven't gotten around to it.

i use my CB to find out where the state troopers are sitting and to yell at all the dumb new truck drivers that do not know how to drive that jump in the left lane to go up a hill. If you dont have the power stay in the right lane!

This is my 91 chevy with 2 4ft whips on the tool box, i just got white ones on it, the black ones are going on my GMC.

You can set my truck on fire, and roll it down a hill, and I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe DeVille.

Re: Fire Stik/cb Mount Pics
The marine radio is good, it talks alot longer (range) than a cb will, and they passed a law where it is legal to have one in your truck at least in NC, not sure about anywhere else though

Re: Fire Stik/cb Mount Pics
A couple quick thoughts to keep in mind.

A well placed, properly tuned, single antenna will perform equally as well or better then dual antennas stuck right behind the cab.

IF an antenna is placed behind the cab, it should have at least 2/3rds of its length above the top of the cab.

If you are going to run two antennas, they should be at least 108" apart to perform correctly.

A 102" whip, on a properly installed CB, with a well grounded vehicle will outperform almost any other antenna out there. And its Cheap!

Like I said, this is looks aside. I do like the looks of twin 4' behind the cab of a pick-up, but you will get a lot of wave radiation off the back of that cab that makes an inefficient system.

97 4x4 extended cab 5.7L, Duel flowmasters with H pipe, add-a-leafs, American Racing wheels,
BFG A/T KO's, K&N FIPK, Rancho 9000 front, Rancho 5000 rearABS Override Switch.
